Lotus Flower Meditation

This lotus meditation can help you to cultivate inner peace, focus, and clarity of mind.

This visualisation helps open the heart centre, promoting inner purity, peace, and spiritual growth.

LOTUS from WILSON’S VISION on Vimeo.

  1. Begin by finding a quiet place where you can sit comfortably, free from distractions. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and allow your body and mind to relax. Let all the tension melt away as you bring your awareness inward.
  2. Now, gently direct your focus to your heart centre, the space in the middle of your chest. Visualise a small, closed lotus bud sitting there, pure and white, waiting to bloom. Imagine that this lotus represents your inner self, full of potential, peace, and divine beauty.
  3. With each breath in, feel the soft, warm light of the sun shining down upon the lotus bud. With every exhale, imagine that the lotus is slowly beginning to open, petal by petal. As it unfolds, let your heart expand, filling with a serene sense of peace and purity.
  4. See the lotus fully blossomed now, its petals radiating with a soft, glowing light. This light fills your entire being, removing any heaviness or worry. Let this lotus remind you of your own inner strength and beauty. Though rooted in the material world, like the lotus in the mud, your soul is capable of rising above all difficulties and blossoming into its highest potential.
  5. As you sit with this vision, allow yourself to feel a deep connection to your own heart, the source of peace, love, and divine energy within you. Take a few moments to simply bask in the light of the lotus, allowing its calm, pure energy to flow through you.
  6. When you are ready, gently bring your awareness back to your breath and slowly open your eyes, carrying the serenity of the blossoming lotus with you throughout your day.
  7. When you are ready to end the meditation, gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Slowly bring your awareness back to your surroundings, and when you feel ready, gently open your eyes.
